IMTRA LAUNCHES NEW SIGMA POWERLED DOWN LIGHT RANGE

IMTRA

Leading LED Manufacturer’s Newest Family of Fixtures Designed Specifically for Vessel Lighting Refits

IMTRA has announced its latest high-output LED light range, the IMTRA Sigma PowerLED. A straight-forward dimmable LED upgrade for existing marine halogen down light systems, the new Sigma PowerLEDs use existing fixture locations, hole cutouts, and 2-wire cabling to make full-featured retrofits easy. The Sigma range eliminates the need to rewire existing circuits, while providing the highest level of light quality and protection against interference. They provide boat owners, installers and refit yards with a hassle free LED solution that exceeds halogen light output while only consuming 5 watts of power.

Designed to integrate seamlessly into most yacht interiors without the need for disruptive and costly carpentry work or headliner replacement, Sigma PowerLEDs use a vessel’s existing 2-wire cabling and are compatible with many popular halogen dimmers, as well as dimmers from IMTRA. Unlike some other 2-wire dimmable LED products, the Sigma line is engineered specifically to minimize hum during dimming and reduce electronic interference (RFI and EMI) with on-board systems.

The Sigma series is available in small, large and surface-mounted configurations. Sigma Small, with a 2-9/16” (65mm) cut-out, is sized to be a drop-in replacement for many of the popular 20 Watt halogen recessed spots that have been used in the industry for years. Sigma Large contains the same light engine as Sigma Small and is supplied with a larger diameter trim ring and special adapter plate that allows its placement in hole cut-outs from 2-9/16” (65mm) through 3-7/16” (87mm). Sigma Surface Mount is designed for surface-mount installations and is ideally suited for under cabinets or ceilings with restricted recess depth. The fixtures can be installed with included springs or screw-mounted. Removing the burden and expense of a complicated lighting refit, the Sigma PowerLED range ensures the best LED upgrade possible for any yacht in an efficient package that can be installed quickly by your local boatyard or even as a DIY project.

“The IMTRA Sigma PowerLED family is truly an exceptional range of products,” said Kinder Woodcock, lighting product development manager, IMTRA. “Engineered to provide the best possible

IMTRA 2

LED upgrade solution with the least amount of disruption and installation time, our Sigma range was developed with the aftermarket boater in mind. We are confident boaters and installing resellers will enjoy the quality and simplicity of the Sigma line.”

Sigma PowerLEDs are dimmable with existing 2-wire boat cables, compatible with many halogen digital dimmers, and have an input voltage of 10-40VDC for 12V, 24V and 32V systems powered by battery. The Sigma PowerLED will also operate without dimming on low voltage AC circuits driven through magnetic transformers. Available in a choice of warm white and cool white LEDs, IMTRA Sigma PowerLEDs feature an 83-degree beam angle, are rated at 50,000 lifetime hours, consume a mere 5W of power while providing the equivalent output of a 25 Watt halogen bulb, and have an ingress protection rating of IP65. The lights are offered in a choice of polished stainless steel and brushed stainless steel finishes, as well as custom colors upon request. The Sigma range is backed by a 5-year limited warranty.

The association is very well supported and virtually any significant marine electronics company that you could name, was represented there on the Exhibitor list at the Expo as well as all being NMEA members and very supportive of the organization.
