BOATING ONTARIO ANNOUNCES HEADLINE SPEAKER SAM DANTZLER FOR DEC 1ST CONFERENCE

Sam Dantzler

Boating Ontario has announced another headline speaker for the annual Boating Ontario Conference and Trade Show that runs from Sunday, December 1 to Tuesday December 3 at beautiful Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville, Ontario.

Sam Dantzler is a noted expert in dealership training and consulting. While his focus may be in motorcycles, he is also a frequent speaker at 20-groups, OEM events, powersports and marine industry events across North America.  Dantzler will be hosting two informative and motivational sessions: "Selling an experience, not a boat" and "Creating customers for life through follow-up and driving traffic, as opposed to reactively waiting on it".  Scott MacCrimmon, from Ed Huck Marine, who has heard him speak on two occasions, claims he is the best speaker he had heard in the last 5 years!

Selling an experience, not a boat – When we believe we sell a tangible good, then conversations surround the product and its price tag.  This encourages consumers to ask for concessions and discounts, even if they didn't come into the transaction a typical "Price Shopper". When we believe we sell an idea of how that tangible good benefits and changes a customers' life, the price tag is commensurate with the experience created.  Much like Norm from the old TV show "Cheers," the environment in which the product is to be used, as well as the relationships involved in the purchase and ownership of the product are also being sold.

Creating Customers for Life – Can you imagine what your sales would look like if every person who bought from you only ever came back to buy from you?  The concept is called, "I gotta guy." Are you someone's "I gotta guy" in the industry? This takes outbound, proactive contact.  Learn about the math of a customer for life, and how it's so much easier to sell a current client "one more" as opposed to selling a new customer "one"'.

NMEA

The 2024 Marine Electronics Conference & Expo, held by the National Marine Electronics Association, (NMEA) took place September 16 to the 20th in Providence, Rhode Island. Boating Industry Canada was there for the first time and we were very impressed with what we found.

The association is very well supported and virtually any significant marine electronics company that you could name, was represented there on the Exhibitor list at the Expo as well as all being NMEA members and very supportive of the organization.
