AMTA Elects new Board members
The Atlantic Marine Trades Association (AMTA) held its Annual General Meeting and Conference on November 22nd at the Saraguay House in Halifax. Great presentations were received from Tracey Hart, Program manager of Discover Boating, Richard Straka of GE Capital and Chip Dickison, Training Coordinator of the Nova Scotia Boat Builders Association.
Brad Fleet continues as President of the Association for his second year, Terry Conrad of Conrad Marine and Mark Wareham of the Memorial University's Marine Institute joined existing Board members Lee Toole of Stright Mackay, Tara Mills of Seamasters Seapro Services, Jason Craig of Quartermaster Marine, Suzanne Rent of MetroGuide Publishing, Lester Watton of the Town of Lewisporte and Paul Embrett of GE Finance. Chris Shaw of the Binnacle retired from the Board after being a member for the past three years. Other retired Board 2012 members are Arthur McNeil from Mercury Marine, Rick Lingley of BRP and Blair Patey formerly of Shining Waters.
The AMTA members offer their thanks to all that volunteer their time and effort for the Association.
