Mason’s Exciting News

Lori Mason, president of The Store, Mason's Chandlery, and Morten Fogh, president of Fogh Marine, have announced an agreement in principle for Morten to purchase The Store, Mason's Chandlery. The expected deal should be done by the end of February.  It will be business as usual at both locations before and afterwards.

After almost 34 years (in April) the Mason’s are finally retiring to Picton.

“It has been the best career I could ever think of” stated Lori Mason, “I am so happy that my parents choose to open The Store back in 1978 and gave me an opportunity to work here 34 years while buying the store from them. However, its time for me to turn the reins over to someone younger with more energy; Morten Fogh.”

“For those of you who might not know Morten, he has successfully owned and operated Fogh Marine in Etobicoke for over 20 years. He started as a kid in his father’s (Hans Fogh) loft and trust me, once you get this business in your blood, it becomes your passion. So like me, Morten has family ties to the industry and I know that my customers will be in great hands with Morten in charge.” said Lori Mason.

Reassuring their many customers, Lori Mason emphasized that, “You will still have the same excellent store staff, the name remains, as does the Boat Bucks program, so there will be little interruption in service to you, with the exception of a closure Feb 27 – 29 for inventory. I will stay on until the May long weekend to help make the transition smooth.”
