Wiarton Marina Changes Hands

On August 1st of this year the Wiarton Marina on Georgian Bay changed hands. Ian Allan who has owned the marina since 1978 transferred ownership to Jeff Hammill.

Jeff and his family are long time boaters of Georgian Bay. Since the early 1960’s the Hammills’ have cruised most of the Great Lakes. It was a natural fit for Jeff to purchase the Wiarton Marina and continue on with his passion for boating. With a boat owners perspective and very talented staff at the marina Jeff will be a hands-on operator of the marina keeping the customers needs at the forefront.

What started with 40 moorings in 1976 has grown into a full service marina with 250 slips along with a 25 ton travel lift. They are also authorized Mercury, Honda, Volvo and Yanmar dealers.
