Easter Seals

June 12, 2017

Easter Seals Ontario is hosting the 28th Toronto Easter Seals Regatta on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club. The event involves skippers from the GTA and surrounding area boating community collecting donations and boat sponsorships in support of children with physical disabilities and hosting Easter Seals kids and their families for a great day out on the water. Each year, the event attracts nearly 50 boats, representing yacht clubs from the Golden Horseshoe of Lake Ontario, and over 300 guests. In its 27 year history, this event has raised $4.7 million to benefit Easter Seals kids.

How to Get Involved:

1. The Race is Back! We invite sailors to register their boats to sail in a fun race around the Toronto Harbour. There are a limited number of spots available for the race. Maximum 50 racers, entry cost is $100/boat. Formal Sailpast to start at 12:00 noon, race to follow. A racer’s PHRF rating can be tweaked according to the donation made to Easter Seals Ontario.

2. Register your boat as a cruiser to host an Easter Seals family for a great day on the water. Cruising scavenger hunt starts at 12:00 noon. Assistance will be provided to lift children on and off your boat. Registration fee is optional, cruisers are encouraged to fundraise!

3. Join the post-party on Snug Island for a BBQ lunch beginning at 1:00 p.m. Tickets are available on the day of the event for $15 each or 4 tickets for $50.
