Blue Guard Innovations (BGI) spill-stopping smart switches and sensors were demonstrated live at the Rekord Marine Trade Show in Vancouver, BC last Thursday and Friday, October 17 and 18.

The innovative, patented range of solid-state smart switches and sensors detect oil, fuel as well as water in the bilge and engine compartments, preventing them from accidentally discharging overboard.

The BGI team held live demonstrations from 9 am to 5 pm each day during the Rekord show, which was held at Rekord Marine Enterprises headquarters, 8194 Ontario Street in Vancouver.

The flagship product in the BGI range is the BG-One, (shown here), which was the winner of a product innovation award at IBEX in 2018. The BG-One went on to receive a DAME Design Award at METSTRADE last year and it won a Pittman Innovation Award earlier this year in the Systems category.
