In their Jan 10, 2018 newsletter edition, the Georgia Strait Alliance asks for boaters to assist with the problem of abandoned and derelict vessels. 

Do you boat or beach walk in the Islands Trust region and come across vessels of concern? The Islands Trust is taking an inventory of abandoned and derelict vessels in their region (from Denman across to Gambier and down to Southern Gulf Islands, excluding Texada). You can aid in having these vessels tracked and cleaned up by reporting them.
