ANNAPOLIS YACHT SALES BECOMES CENTURY AND CORONADO DEALER

Annapolis Yacht Sales and Century Boats

Oct 20, 2020

The iconic American boatbuilding company, Century Boats, announced that Annapolis Yacht Sales has been brought on as a new Century and Coronado dealer. The boating dealership has its main office at the Bert Jabin Yacht Yard in Annapolis, MD; and three other branch locations across the mid-Atlantic area.

“We are excited to be working with Annapolis Yacht Sales as their reputation for outstanding customer service and boating knowledge is a perfect match for the Century and Coronado model lines,” said Bryan Lucius, Senior Vice President of Sales and Dealer Relationships of Century Boats. “Our fishing boats have always been strong in this area and we look forward to expanding our presence and service to our owners through our partnership with AYS. The market for luxury day boats in the Annapolis area is just now coming into its own, and there is no better product than the Coronado line for it,” adds Lucius.

Following the family-run motto, “Let there be not one unhappy customer,” Annapolis Yacht Sales first opened its door in the corner of a boat supplier in downtown Annapolis and has been in the maritime business for more than 65 years.

Annapolis Yacht Sales was started in 1953 by Lawrence Hartge with the original office located on the corner of Fawcett Boat Supplies in downtown Annapolis. Since then, AYS has expanded their presence to four locations throughout the greater Annapolis area to include Kent Island, Tracy’s Landing in Maryland, and Deltaville in Virginia.  They have received numerous awards and accolades including top dealer ratings.  The AYS mission statement of “Annapolis Yacht Sales values honesty, integrity, and service as we build lasting relationships between our customers, employees, and the boating world, while serving our local community,” aligns perfectly with that of Century Boats.

“What our company values the most are honesty, integrity, and service,” says Shaun Guevarra, the Revenue Manager of Annapolis Yacht Sales. “We’re so grateful to bond this relationship with Century Boats in such a crucial moment of time for the maritime industry as now, and be able to offer our Century and Coronado dealership to the boating community in the local mid-Atlantic area and beyond,” adds Guevarra.

Good Advice that You Can Share – The Art of Anchoring

Unless a boat is secured, it will drift away. If it cannot be attached to something secure, such as a dock, piling, mooring buoy, tree, or boulder, it must be anchored. There is much more to anchoring than simply tossing the anchor over the side.

An anchoring system has two parts: the anchor itself and the rode which connects the anchor to the boat. To be effective, an anchor must have good holding power, and the rode must be strong enough to withstand the strains that are put on it.
