Aquila 46 Coupe Power Catamaran Nominated for 2026 European Powerboat of the Year

November 18, 2025

The Aquila 46 Coupe has been nominated for the 2026 European Powerboat of the Year award in the catamaran category, adding to the model’s growing list of industry recognition since its debut earlier this year.

The nomination places the 46 Coupe alongside four other power catamarans competing in the category. German marine publication BOOTE magazine announced the nominations, with winners to be determined by a professional jury and announced at the boot Düsseldorf boat show in Germany in January.

The 46 Coupe showcases a contemporary coupe design that delivers both sport boat excitement and yacht-like comfort. Its generous 17-foot, 11-inch beam creates versatile entertainment spaces and refined accommodations in two full cabins, each with private en-suite bathrooms. From day cruising to weekend excursions and extended getaways, the vessel adapts to any adventure, enhanced by the innovative carbon fiber Aquila Hydro Glide® semi-foiling system for exceptional efficiency and performance.

Available with either twin 600-horsepower Mercury Verado V12 outboard engines or 480-horsepower Volvo Penta D6 DPI sterndrive inboards, the 46 Coupe combines performance-oriented engineering with practical cruising capability. The vessel holds 616 gallons of fuel and is certified to CE Category B (offshore) standards.

“Receiving this nomination from the European boating industry validates our approach with the Coupe series,” said Jean Raas, Chief Product Officer and CEO of Aquila USA. “The 46 Coupe was designed to deliver genuine performance alongside yacht-level comfort and features, a balance that resonates with boaters who refuse to compromise.”

The nomination follows the model’s win in the Power Catamaran Under 15m category at the 2025 Yacht Style Awards in Singapore in April. The 46 Coupe made its worldwide debut at the Miami International Boat Show in February 2025 and European debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September, which also featured the global debut of the inboard engine configuration.

The 46 Coupe’s design emphasizes versatility and usable space. A spacious aft cockpit features an integrated bar area that connects indoor and outdoor entertainment zones, while an expansive electric opening sunroof provides protection from sun and weather. Panoramic windows throughout flood the interior with natural light, and an electrically actuated carbon fiber door opens to the forward bow seating area. The double-stepped hull design works in conjunction with the standard foiling system to enhance efficiency at cruising speeds.

Winners of the European Powerboat of the Year awards will be announced in early 2026 following the evaluation and voting period.
