DISCOVER BOATING INTRODUCES MEDIA TO THE JOY OF BOATING

Discover Boating Day on the Water

June 28, 2016

Recently, Tracey Hart, Director of Marketing  from NMMA and Discover Boating along with Sara Anghel, Executive Director / Vice President of NMMA Canada and Janet Bauer President And CEO of Boating Ontario, invited several members of the media to enjoy a day on the water. It was great to see many young faces that make up the new media of bloggers and writers that have a huge impact on younger audiences that are the future of boating.

Discover Boating talked about ways to get started in the boating lifestyle and the latest boating trends and stats.  A wakeboarding instructor and expert joined the group to demonstrate waterskiing and wakeboarding and teach firsthand the basics of watersports to media.
 Discover Boating
Yamaha Motor Canada Limited provided both a sport boat and a pontoon boat for the collective media to enjoy their boating experience. Ken Van Noort District Sales Manager Marine and JF Rioux National Manager Marine also gave of their time to skipper the boats. BRP Canada also provided a personal watercraft to enhance the on water excitement.

The opportunity was part of Discover Boating’s PR efforts to encourage people to get started in boating and feature positive stories about the boating lifestyle that will appeal to a broad audience. In addition to traditional public relations efforts, this is the first of three media events that will be hosted by Discover Boating in partnership with the regional Marine Trade Associations in Canada.   Discover Boating will co-host a media day on the water in Montreal on June 29th with AMQ, and in Vancouver with  Boating BC on August 10th.
