The 2015 World Maritime Technology Conference (WMTC) has scheduled a free webinar on one of the maritime industry’s most timely topics – the future impact of unmanned marine vessels.

The 90-minute session, which is the second in a series of WMTC programs for students, will begin at 10 am US eastern time on Sunday, October 25. Click here to register.

SNAME’s annual meeting and expo, the SNAME Maritime Convention (SMC), is held in conjunction with the week-long triennial WMTC, November 3-7 at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence, Rhode Island.

The automation webinar will discuss the role automation will play in the maritime industry in the future and automation technologies currently in use in maritime operations. It will also highlight the technological, operational and social challenges of autonomous marine vessels. A question and answer session will follow.
