Freedom Boat Club Expands Its Presence in France with New Locations in Sète and Gruissan

July 28, 2026

Freedom Boat Club, the world’s largest boat club and a business of Brunswick Corporation on July 17th, announced the opening of two new locations in Southern France: Sète and Gruissan. These latest additions strengthen the Club’s leading presence along the Mediterranean coast and further support its mission to make boating more accessible through flexible, premium membership experiences.

The new locations represent another important step in Freedom Boat Club’s continued growth across Europe and build upon the success of its existing operations in the region. Together, Sète and Gruissan expand the Club’s network throughout the French Mediterranean coastline, providing members with even more opportunities to explore diverse boating destinations.

“France continues to be a strategic growth market for Freedom Boat Club, and we are thrilled to welcome Sète and Gruissan to our network,” said Arturo Gutiérrez, General Manager, Freedom Boat Club EMEA. “These two destinations offer unique boating experiences and reflect the strong demand we are seeing for convenient and accessible ways to enjoy time on the water. Their addition further strengthens our position in one of Europe’s most attractive boating regions.”

Sète offers members access to one of France’s most distinctive boating environments. Situated between the Mediterranean Sea and the expansive Étang de Thau lagoon, the location provides two complementary navigation experiences from a single home port. The year-round coastal city is renowned for its maritime heritage, vibrant cultural scene, and thriving local community. The initial fleet includes a Quicksilver 705 Open and a Sea Ray 190 SPX, both powered by Mercury outboards and selected for their versatility across both lagoon and offshore cruising.

Gruissan, meanwhile, is home to one of the region’s most dynamic marinas, featuring 1,650 berths and a strong commitment to sustainable marina operations. The location will launch with two Quicksilver 705 Open motorboats, providing members with access to the area’s scenic coastline and vibrant boating community. Gruissan’s strong seasonal and second-home market presents an excellent opportunity to introduce more people to the Freedom Boat Club boating lifestyle.

Both locations are now open and serving members.

With these additions, Freedom Boat Club continues its strategic global expansion and reinforces its leadership in the shared-access boating market, with more than 450 locations worldwide across North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Arab Emirates.
