Georgian College Achieves Clean Sweep of Podium at Skills Ontario Competition

May 19, 2026

We learned from the Boating Ontario newsletter that on Tuesday May 5th at the Toronto Congress Center, students from the Georgian College Midland campus MTME program alongside students from the Small Engine Program competed in the Outdoor Power Equipment competition at Skills Ontario. Three students from the Midland Campus ended up taking home gold, silver and bronze. Logan Wilkey (Bridge Port Marina) took first place. Jacob Hill took home second place and rounding out the podium was Parker Jansen (Hucks Marine & Resort).

Boating Ontario is thrilled to have supported these young technicians through their MarineWorx program paving the way for young technicians perfecting their craft.

Logan Wilkey will be this year’s Team Ontario representative in this category at the Skills Canada national competition in Toronto at the end of May.

We send our congratulations to all!
