IMPORTANT ABYC ELECTRICAL CERTIFICATION COURSE

Marine Electronics Training

 

There will be a four-day ABYC Electrical Certification course taking place from Monday, March 23rd through to Thursday, March 26th, 2015 in Lunenburg, NOVA Scotia.

Any member servicing and surveying boats should have this certification course. Boats are continually improving electrically and electronically and Transport Canada-Marine Safety uses the ABYC Electrical Standard for recreational boats.

Delivered by ABYC and facilitated by the NSBA, this course is designed for the marine technician with at least three to five years’ experience working with marine electricity.  The student also needs some familiarity with ABYC electrical standards.  For more info visit http://www.nsboats.com/trngabycelectrical/

Cost of the course for AMTA and NSBA members is  $1195 + HST = 1374.25
For Non AMTA and Non NSBA member rate- $1395 + HST = $1604.25

Study guides are included in the course fee.  Registrants will receive ABYC Certification upon completing and passing the certification exam.  If you would like to attend or register an employee, please complete the ABYC Marine Electrical registration form and fax it back to the NSBA office by February 20th.  Or, you can contact the NSBA’s Christian O’Neill at 902.423.2378 or  nsbatraining@eastlink.ca.

Registration and full payment of fees due on or before the 20th of February is required to be in attendance.  Cancellation of the course will occur if critical mass is not obtained by this date.  Please refer to the registration form for information on how reimbursement will be handled.
