Octopus Europe hands over the reins to CMP Europe to consolidate the CMP product line-up in Europe

Jan 3, 2023

CMP Group Ltd, (manufacturer and owner of the Octopus brand) based in Vancouver, Canada, consolidate their product lines into one master European distributor as Octopus Europe hands over the reins to CMP Europe for the Octopus (autopilot drive range) product line to focus on their other companies from the 1st of July this year.

Tim Bell, the General Manager and owner of Octopus Europe, who built the company from scratch in 2004 to offer a high level of sales and technical support to the retrofit and OEM market for the Octopus Product range had the following comments to make.

“We wish all the best to the new team who will be taking over the reins of looking after the Octopus Product range which has grown significantly over the last eighteen years, and it has been a pleasure to be part of this success and work with the professional Octopus Product manufacturing team in Vancouver Canada. I thank all our customers who have helped build the Octopus brand in Europe and hope that they will continue to work with the product line in the future. Octopus Europe will be continuing to operate with a new brand image which will be focusing on its other present companies which include Bell Marine Surveying and Bell SeaTrading with a focus on novel innovative steering system designs and modern Yacht safety equipment.”

Tyler Seebach, Vice President Sales from CMP, had the following statement.

“We thank Tim and Octopus Europe for the strong marketing support world-wide and the great job in building the sales and product support offered in Europe the last eighteen years.
CMP Europe offers the next stage in growing further the sales of the Octopus product line with the “economy of scale” offered from the new large warehouse facility and modern logistics operation just recently opened in Italy and we look forward to building on the success already achieved”.

CMP Europe, based in Casella, Italy will be adding the Octopus product range to its portfolio of well-known marine product lines such as Rocna Anchors and the Martyr Anode range and will be offering the Octopus Product line through its present distribution outlets and also invites the present Octopus distributors the opportunity to contact them from the 1st of July this year should they wish to continue to sell the Octopus product range.
