CPS-ECP NATIONAL CONFERENCE IN QUEBEC CITY – EARLY BIRD REG DEADLINE
This is an important reminder that the Early Bird deadline to register for the CPS-ECP National Conference in Quebec City this October is August 15, 2014. 8TH ANNUAL BOAT SHOW AT THE CREEK , SEPTEMBER 18-24 2014
Mosquito Creek Marina presents the 8th Annual Boat Show at The Creek. The Creek is owned and operated by the Squamish Nation Marine Group and the Boat Show runs from September 18-24, 2014. With over 160 boats displayed along 2,500 feet of dock space, 70 display booths and broker hospitality tents and demonstration slips for sea trials, there is plenty to see and do at The Creek! -

THE INTERNATIONAL SUPERYACHT COATINGS CONFERENCE 2014
The International Superyacht Coatings Conference (ISCC), a prominent business-to-business event organised by Amsterdam RAI in association with ICOMIA and the Superyacht Builders Association (SYBAss), will be held on 11 – 12 December 2014 at the Amsterdam RAI in The Netherlands. Specialising in superyacht coating processes and related rules and legislation, ISCC is much more than a conference and networking event – delegates will be encouraged to participate and contribute, not merely spectate. This highly interactive event will provide genuine opportunities to influence future decisions surrounding current issues facing the coatings industry. -

OPERATION DRY WATER – CSBC – CIVIC HOLIDAY WEEKEND
Drinking and boating accounts for approximately 40% of boating-related fatalities on Canadian waterways. To raise awareness and reduce alcohol related deaths, the Canadian Safe Boating Council (CSBC) is launching year 2 of an initiative called “Operation Dry Water”. Its goal is to discourage this dangerous practice. -

3D DIGITAL WORKSHOP TO BE OFFERED AT IBEX
3D Printing will be featured at The International BoatBuilders' Exhibition and Conference (IBEX), taking place September 29-October 2, 2014 at the Tampa Convention Center. IBEX will partner with Robert McNeel & Associates, Miami's RhinoFabStudio, and DRS Technologies, Inc. Advanced Marine Technology Center, to offer live demonstrations and educational workshops for attendees on 3D printing and scanning technologies applicable to the marine industry. -
CARLA DEMARIA KEYNOTE SPEAKER AT METS 2014
Amsterdam RAI has announced that the keynote speaker at the prestigious Breakfast Briefing at METS 2014 will be Carla Demaria, President of Monte Carlo Yachts. As the first woman to make this major address to the global maritime community – a popular feature on the calendar for 27 years – Demaria will share her unique insights gained in a distinguished career in the boatbuilding sector. The Breakfast Briefing and the opening ceremony of METS 2014 that follows are on Tuesday 18 November in Amsterdam RAI. -
VOLUNTARY RECALL AFFECTS HANDLEBAR AND STEERING ASSEMBLY
BRP has issued a voluntary recall of its new Spark personal watercraft. In a note to Sea-Doo watercraft owners dated July 15, the Valcourt, Quebec-based company notes it is conducting a voluntary safety recall of “some 2014 Sea-Doo watercraft models” in order to correct a defect in the steering column and handlebar assembly.

Peterborough Boaters in the Kawartha Area will get the opportunity to test drive a different boat every week throughout the summer of 2014, thanks to an exciting new partnership between Paris Marine Family Boating Centre and Harbour Town McCracken's Landing on Stony Lake. -

IBEX EDUCATION OFFERS NEW & IMPROVED SUPER SESSIONS AND FREE EXHIBITOR WORKSHOPS
There are several new ways for marine professionals to access dynamic education at The InternationalBoatBuilders' Exhibition and Conference (IBEX), taking place September 29-October 2, 2014 at the TampaConvention Center. In addition to the Seminar Series offering 55 seminars – there will be nine Super Sessions offered on Monday, September 29th and an additional 21 exhibitor workshops being offered throughoutthe show on the exhibit floor. -
