The resort was the site of the 2011 NMEA event. -
CC MARINE FAMILY AND FRIENDS CELEBRATE A BIRTHDAY MILESTONE OF ONE OF THEIR OWN
On Friday, April 4th, employees and friends joined together at CC Marine Distributors in Newmarket, ON to celebrate a birthday milestone of one of their own. Rick Chang, Vice President of Sales and President of the National Marine Distributors Association turned 60 years young. Rick good-naturedly endured a number of humourous anecdotes about his time at CC Marine starting as a parts stocker and others from the well over a hundred people on-hand for the occasion. A good time was had by all and, as Rick put it, it was also a goodreason to clean up the warehouse. -
BC’s Coastal Craft Launches Stylish 65’ Concord
With the launch of its first 65’ Concord, Coastal Craft of Gibsons BC marks both its largest build to date and a departure in styling from its smaller designs. At the request of the customer, says president Jeff Rhodes, the aluminum builder has given the 65 a European-influenced profile that is both more upright, with two full decks, and more gracefully swept back than the workboat-inspired styling of its smaller boats. -

CARMANAH AGREES TO PURCHASE SOL INC IN A SHARE EXCHANGE VALUED AT ~$7.5M
Carmanah Technologies Corporation (TSX: CMH) and SOL, Inc., a privately-owned Florida-based company, todayjointly announced that Carmanah has entered into a binding Letter of Intent with SOL, Inc. and MichaelSonnenfeldt. Mr. Sonnenfeldt is a director of Carmanah and the controlling shareholder of SOL. Under the termsof the Letter of Intent, Carmanah has agreed to buy all outstanding shares of SOL owned by Mr. Sonnenfeldt andthe parties intend to take the necessary steps to ensure that all other owners of SOL shares prior to closingenter into a definitive agreement to sell their shares to Carmanah. As a result, upon completion of thetransaction, SOL will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Carmanah. -

DELTA-BASED ZODIAC HURRICANE AWARDED MULTI-MILLION-DOLLAR CONTRACT BY THE FRENCH NAVY
On Monday morning, Zodiac Hurricane Technologies, Inc. hosted French Ambassador Philippe Zeller and Jean-Christophe Fleury, consul of France in Vancouver. The pair visited in recognition of a large contract the company was awarded to supply the French Navy Commandos with up to 20 of its ECUME RIB (rigid inflatable boat) vessels. So far, 15 boats have been ordered totaling about $9 million. -

The Boating Ontario Dealer Association held their Best Practices workshop on Thursday, March 27 at the Nottawasaga Inn & Resort in Alliston, Ontario with some 80 people in attendance.
