CABELA’S CANADA TO HIRE 200 FOR BARRIE, ONTARIO STORE

Online applications being accepted now; doors scheduled to open this summerCabela’s Canada plans to hire approximately 200 full-time and part-time employees to staff its new Barrie, Ontario location scheduled to open this spring.
 
Applications are being accepted now and must be submitted online. Interviews will take place April 23 to 26 at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Conference Centre located at 20 Fairview Road in Barrie. Most employees are expected to come from Barrie and the surrounding area.
 
“We are looking for knowledgeable and passionate outdoor enthusiasts who will uphold Cabela’s legendary customer service,” said Rick Hunter, general manager of the new store. “Barrie is a great location for Cabela’s and our customers deserve quality service to go with Cabela’s quality products.”
 
The 70,000-square-foot store – Cabela’s first Ontario location – ¬will be located near the intersection of Highway 400 and Mapleview Drive in the Park Place Shopping Centre. The building’s exterior will reflect Cabela’s popular store model with log construction, stonework, wood siding and metal roofing.
 
The interior will feature the company’s next-generation layout designed to surround customers in an outdoor experience, including museum-quality wildlife displays and a large mountain replica. In addition to thousands of quality outdoor products, the store also will feature an indoor archery range and archery tech room, Gun Library, Bargain Cave and Fudge Shop.
 
Currently, Cabela’s operates 51 stores across North America with plans to open an additional 23 over the next two years, including a Edmonton, Alberta location May 22; a Nanaimo, British Columbia store this fall; and a Moncton, New Brunswick location in 2015.
