PASSING OF A MEMBER OF OUR BOATING COMMUNITY – ERIC STOVOLD

On behalf of Boating Ontario, we are saddened to announce that yesterday our boating community mourned the loss of Eric Stovold, Father to Jeff, Grandfather to Ryan. Eric peacefully passed away at home with his family in his 88th year.  

The Stovold family has served boaters for more than 50 years since Eric purchased KonTiki Marina and later added Lefroy Harbour on Lake Simcoe, creating Lefroy Harbour Resort. Jeff Stovold is past President of the Boating Ontario Association and still serves today as an Advisor to the Board of Directors. 

Friends may call at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford (1-800-209-4803) for a memorial visitation on Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 1-5 p.m. Memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. In Eric’s memory, donations may be made to the Stronach Regional Cancer Centre at Southlake Regional Health Centre. The family has requested no flowers or baskets be sent.
