ABYC and MetalCraft Marine

Register now to attend the ABYC Marine Systems Certification from December 9 – 12, 2013 starting at 08:30am Daily at the Holiday Inn Kingston Waterfront.

This ABYC course hosted by MetalCraft Marine includes key information from 21 different ABYC Standards as they apply to boat component selection and installation. Best industry practices will be a part of the body of knowledge that a certified technician will be expected to be proficient in regards to Potable Water Systems, Waste Water Systems, Tanks, Plumbing, Electrical Installation, System Monitoring, Compressed Gas Systems for cooking and heating, Hydraulic Systems, AC and Refrigeration Systems, and Pump Systems.

Standards specific to this certification, and that the certification candidate may want to review or have access to during the exam include: A-1, A-4, A-6, A-24, E-10, E-11, H-22, H-23, H-24, H-25, H-27, H-32, H-33, P-1, P-14, P-17, P-18, P-21-24, T-1, TH-

Candidates may reference all study materials including the supplied study guide (which contains all pertinent ABYC standards integrated into the text), class notes and additional ABYC standards in either printed or computer-based form during the certification exam. The exam is timed at 3 hours and is comprised of approximately 200 multiple-choice questions.

Students with special needs must inform the ABYC in writing of said needs at the time of class registration to ensure that any special accommodations can be made for exam taking. Students must supply their own #2 pencil if they are going to be taking the written version of the certification exam. Students may use a calculator during the exam.

All exams are proctored and any candidate caught texting or behaving unethically during the exam will be ejected by the test proctor. Candidates ejected due to unethical behavior will NOT be entitled to any refunds.

Course Registration Fees: ABYC Member $885.00 Non-member $1,170.00

ABYC reserves the right to cancel classes based on enrollment and/or instructor availability no later than two weeks prior to the class scheduled start date. Onsite reserved classes scheduled by association, corporate or government entities will incur a 10% of contracted rate cancellation fee for any classes cancelled after initial scheduling is established. Please take this into consideration when making any travel or accommodation arrangements. ABYC will not provide any reimbursements for travel expenses.
