Registration under the Select Luxury Items Tax Act

Survey

Aug 2, 2022

Boating Ontario and all the other marine trades associations alerted their members that the CRA has now posted directions on how to navigate the registration process for retailers affected by the tax which takes effect September 1, 2022.

While none of the MTA’s are supportive of this crippling tax by our Government, we do encourage affected businesses to register as needed.

Also, we encourage all industry members to continue to share updates on their lost sales or staffing changes caused by the tax – as Boating Ontario states, we will never stop fighting on your behalf.

Your input is still very important! We need to make noise…LOUD NOISE, so the government hears us! Please continue to fill out the survey as your business has been affected by the luxury tax. Here is the Survey link.
