SAIL NOVA SCOTIA PRESENTS THE ATLANTIC SAILING CONFERENCE NOVEMBER 22

Atlantic Sailing Conference

Registration is now open for the first ever Atlantic Sailing Conference to take place Saturday, November 22 at Citadel High School in Halifax. 

Topics already confirmed include; fundraising, insurance & risk management issues, developing an able sail program, hosting regattas, getting your program into schools, and increasing participation for 16-24 year olds, and so much more. Keynote speaker will be Nicholas Hayes who wrote Saving Sailing, which discussed the decline of participation in sailing and what we should be doing to increase numbers. 

A full schedule will be posted shortly.  The Conference is preceded by the Sail NS Awards on November 21, with a feature presentation by Brian MacInnes of Team Oracle at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic from 7-9pm.
