The Future of Boating: Canadian Tech Company ENVGO Launches NV1

November 18, 2025

Canadian tech company, ENVGO, is changing the marine industry through aerospace engineering and innovation with an all-new 100% electric, zero-emission, AI-powered hydrofoiling ‘flying’ boat that will make its official North American debut at the Toronto International Boat Show in January 2026.

In late November, the Media was invited to an Exclusive Media Sneak Peek with an In-Water Demo & Boat Rides at Harbourfront Centre, Marina Four.

ENVGO, is a Canadian marine technology company building next-generation “flying” boats, and is disrupting the marine industry and literally elevating the standard in electric boating.  Founded by serial inventor Mike Peasgood and the team behind internationally renowned aerospace company, Aeryon Labs in Waterloo, ON, ENVGO is redefining what’s possible on the water. The company’s first product, the NV1, is a zero-emission 25ft electric cruiser that offers a truly unique experience of flight over water. Using ENVGO’s advanced hydrofoil technology, the hull lifts above the water, dramatically reducing drag and extending range up to four times that of conventional electric boats.

The official launch of the NV1 will be at the 2026 Toronto Boat Show. The NV1 solves the historical range limitations of electric boats, and delivers a premium ride quality without crashing through waves, engine noise and emissions.  Powered by a state-of-the-art propulsion system and intuitive control technology, the NV1 delivers a quiet, smooth, and sustainable boating experience unlike any other.

The launch of ENVGO’s NV1 is slated to make its official North American debut at the 2026 Toronto International Boat Show, where more new products are launched each year than anywhere in Canada by marine manufacturers, boat dealers and retailers. Canada’s largest marine industry and indoor consumer show takes place January 17 – 25, 2026 at the Enercare Centre, Exhibition Place.  Tickets go on sale for Black Friday, beginning November 26 at www.TorontoBoatShow.com .

In June 2025, ENVGO raised $2M USD in new funding to accelerate the production of the NV1 for its market debut. This seed round is a crucial step toward scaling the technology and positioning ENVGO as a key enabler in the shift to cleaner, smarter marine transportation.  With the company’s deep expertise in aerospace engineering, robotics, and AI-powered autonomy, ENVGO is a Canadian company that is not only building the future of boating but also pioneering an industry partnership program to offer a scalable, license-ready technology system to help traditional boat manufacturers transition to electric propulsion.  For more information, go to www.ENVGO.com.
