The Harbour Chandler Set to Open In Summer 2026

We learned from the Boating BC member newsletter that The Harbour Chandler, in partnership with Stones Boatyard, is set to open at The Village at Nanaimo in summer 2026, bringing decades of marine expertise to Snuneymuxw’s new oceanfront village in Nanaimo. Located steps from the Departure Bay Ferry Terminal, the new location will focus on dinghies, fishing boats, outboard motors, and fly fishing, including on-site lessons for the community.

Locally owned and operated, The Harbour Chandler has built a strong reputation across Vancouver Island as a trusted destination for boating and outdoor enthusiasts. The new addition reflects the continued growth of The Village at stlilnup as a vibrant community and waterfront gathering place rooted in Snuneymuxw culture, connection to the ocean, and long-term economic prosperity.
