VoltSafe Executes Large-Scale Deployment with Royal Vancouver Yacht Club

VoltSafe Shore Power System

June 17, 2025

VoltSafe Inc. is excited to announce that it has installed its award-winning shore power system, VoltSafe Marine, at every slip at The Wigwam Inn, operated by the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club (RVYC). The RVYC is a prestigious marina operator with multiple sought-after locations. This installation marks the largest full-scale pre-commercial deployment of VoltSafe’s Marina Shore Power solution.

Trevor Burgess, VoltSafe CEO & Co-Founder, commented, “RVYC isn’t just looking to future-proof their marinas, they’ve actively worked with us to shape the marinas of tomorrow. As a result, we are seeing marinas like RVYC scaling with us. By utilizing our prongless blueprint (VoltSafe Technology) we’ve been able to overcome the longstanding challenges that have plagued all marinas. That’s the power of 0 to 1 innovations like VoltSafe’s. The result? Marinas are able to operate with an increasingly frictionless stakeholder experience that delivers unprecedented safety, control, and overall peace of mind. Utilizing VoltSafe’s plug-and-play shore power pedestals, RVYC is able to provide its members with the safest and most intuitive shore power experience available, while benefiting from lower energy consumption and reduced yearly operating costs.”

The RVYC exemplifies a steadfast commitment to delivering exceptional member experiences while prioritizing sustainability and industry-leading practices. All nine of its facilities, including the picturesque Wigwam Inn, have achieved Clean Marine BC certification, with two earning five-anchor and the rest earning four-anchor ratings – testaments to RVYC’s dedication to environmental stewardship.

Chris Barnett, Marine Assets & Operations Manager for the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, remarked, ““The RVYC’s commitment to creating a great marina experience is complemented by our passion to future-proof our docks with VoltSafe Marine’s shore power system. Safety and smarter energy efficiency is paramount in driving waves of change towards a truly sustainable marina ecosystem; this is something RVYC shares with VoltSafe as a core value. We believe the installation at Wigwam will provide an exceptional experience for both our members and our staff and underscore our commitment to making marina operations safe and efficient.”
