VoltSafe meets increasing demand for its patented tech by launching strategic community financing round

VoltSafe

June 6, 2022

VoltSafe is excited to announce it has launched an equity crowdfunding campaign with FrontFundr, Canada’s leading online private markets online investing platform, to raise capital to accelerate the company’s drive towards its licensing and commercialization goals.

The company’s prongless, high-power, electrical connector technology uses magnets and an electrical fingerprint, meaning it doesn’t turn ‘on’ until both sides are completely connected. The company is the first in the world to successfully safety certify a high voltage, prongless plug technology that doesn’t incur power transfer losses like other prongless technologies do. VoltSafe makes it safer, simpler and smarter to consume, monitor and manage electricity, at the outlet level, and sets a new global standard to connect and control high voltage.

Trevor Burgess, VoltSafe’s CEO, stated, “VoltSafe tech creates new demand across residential, commercial and industrial sectors worldwide. For over 140 years, we have been using an antiquated pronged plug technology. Design changes meant to improve safety have always come at the expense of the user experience and their wallet. VoltSafe tech improves efficiency, further accelerates the adoption of smart plugs, and brings with it positive social, economic and environmental impact.”

This year VoltSafe has already made significant strides on its strategic roadmap, ranging from receiving multiple patent grants from around the world, to new retail channel partners for its first fully commercialized product, to new R&D projects, partners, and licensing relationships.

Scott Carlson, the company’s CFO, added, “We’re hearing from various industry third parties indicating there is rising demand for our tech as a solution in numerous applications. Opening this crowdfunding campaign offers a rare opportunity for those seeking investment in an inventive private Canadian cleantech startup to support a global vision of smart and sustainable electrification. We’re at an exciting inflection point as we begin to execute our rapid growth strategy.”

VoltSafe first successfully pitched its discovery on CBC’s Dragons’ Den in 2018 with multiple Dragons vying to invest. Now, for a limited time, the raise is open to all investors. Good Advice that You Can Share – The Art of Anchoring

Unless a boat is secured, it will drift away. If it cannot be attached to something secure, such as a dock, piling, mooring buoy, tree, or boulder, it must be anchored. There is much more to anchoring than simply tossing the anchor over the side.

An anchoring system has two parts: the anchor itself and the rode which connects the anchor to the boat. To be effective, an anchor must have good holding power, and the rode must be strong enough to withstand the strains that are put on it.
