The 2025–2026 Standards and Technical Information Reports for Small Craft, Supplement 65, (ABYC’s “Big Blue Book”) is almost here! This supplement has new changes and updates to 17 standards and technical information reports, including E–11 and E–13.

Some top changes include:

            • E–11, AC & DC Electrical Systems on Boats

                        • Isolated DC systems

                        • Solid state overcurrent protection

                        • Distributed power

            • E–13, Lithium-Ion Batteries

                        • Battery switch requirements

                        • Component protection

                        • Requirements for systems over 60 volts DC

            • H–24, Gasoline (Petrol) Fuel Systems

                        • New requirements for fuel pumps located beyond 12 inches from the engine and quick connect couplings
