ABBRA

September 30, 2025

The American Boat Builders & Repairers Association (ABBRA) announced that it will partner with the International Boatbuilders’ Exhibition & Conference (IBEX) to present a dedicated series of seminars for boatyard professionals at this year’s event, scheduled for October 7–9, 2025, in Tampa, Florida.

The collaboration underscores ABBRA’s longstanding commitment to advancing professional development within the boatbuilding and repair sector. Through this initiative, ABBRA will deliver five seminars specifically designed for yard managers, owners, and crews. Distinguished presenters representing the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Gulf Coast, and Alaska will share case studies, highlight best practices, and introduce innovative approaches to common challenges across the industry.

The seminar program will address key topics including:
·    Better Bidding: Turning an Estimate into a Polished Proposal
·    Boatyard Ethics: A Few Golden Rules
·    Boatyard Management Challenges: A Roundtable Discussion
·    The Perils of Paint: Creating Consistency in Yacht Coatings

“These sessions have been carefully developed to meet the unique needs of boatyard operators and their teams,” Chad Morse, ABBRA President. “By convening expertise from across the country, ABBRA aims to foster dialogue, share proven strategies, and support the professional standards that strengthen our industry.”

The IBEX Conference remains the premier technical trade event for the marine industry in North America, providing unparalleled educational programming alongside a comprehensive exhibition of the latest products and services.
