2024 Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show

Apr 1, 2025

To make room for the scheduled construction around Annapolis City Dock, the Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show will be moving further into Ego Alley during the event’s run from April 25th to 27th.

 New Digs

“We’re very excited about the move into Ego Alley,” says Annapolis Boat Shows President Mary Ewenson, “The stunning backdrop of Annapolis Harbor and the lively atmosphere of Ego Alley make it the perfect place to shop, socialize, and enjoy a fantastic weekend kicking off the tourism and sailing seasons.”

The Spring Sailboat Show has long been described as the season opener for sailing enthusiasts, with sailors, boat dealers, and marine professionals gathering from all over. It also marks the beginning of the high season for Annapolis tourism.

“It’s the kind of event where you expect all of your friends to turn up,” says Ewenson.

In addition to boats ranging from accessible to high-performance, visitors will also be able to shop sailing gear, attend free educational sailing seminars, and explore local vendors. The show will also feature live music every afternoon in the No Wake Zone.

Annapolis City Dock Project

The Annapolis City Dock Project is a transformative redevelopment initiative aimed at revitalizing the historic waterfront. Designed to address flooding, enhance public spaces, and boost economic vitality, the project is intended to create a more resilient and accessible downtown area. Plans include improved stormwater management, expanded pedestrian-friendly zones, and increased green spaces for community gatherings.

A January ruling from the Anne Arundel Circuit Court put the project on hold. Demolition of the Harbormaster’s Building was scheduled for this week but was further delayed following the hearing on Monday, March 17.
