The Boating Ontario team would like to thank all those who participated and contributed to this year’s sold out event. Although teams were faced with less than ideal conditions your spirit and enthusiasm was truly appreciated. We hope that everyone had as much fun on the course as we did putting this event together. A true sense of fellowship was felt by all the sponsorship, donations and volunteer excitement throughout the day.
Due to your generous support, valuable funding was raised for both Ontario Sailing and Boating Ontario’s MarineWorx Development Fund. In 2019, the MarineWorx Development Fund assisted over 45 staff at Boating Ontario member locations with over $15,000 returning to the market. Our future and existing employees are benefitting from education and training support to strengthen and grow the marine workforce.
“Networking and enjoying moments together have always been a cornerstone of this event and behind those moments is the knowledge for each and every one of us that the time and dollars we commit to this day go right back to our sport”, said Rick Layzell, CEO Boating Ontario.
A special thanks to our major event sponsors Mercury Marine, Toronto International Boat Show, Dealerplan and Yamaha for helping make this event a great success and to all of our 36-hole sponsors for showing your support for two great causes.
Congratulations to all of our contest winners and big Boating Ontario congrats to the tournament winners;

The 10th edition of the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge (MEBC) has wrapped up at the Yacht Club de Monaco (YCM) and it gives a compelling look at the future of electric boating.
The MEBC was started in 2014 as a competition between university teams who built and raced boats powered only by solar power and batteries. To encourage more participation from institutions that may not have naval architecture or boat construction expertise, the YCM introduced the Energy Class competition. The club supplies the student teams with the same one-design catamaran hull, and each team adds their own cockpit and propulsion system that can be powered by any renewable alternative energy sources, not just solar.

Questus Marine patented, Self-Leveling Radar Mounts automatically keep radar antennas level with the horizon, eliminating target loss.
Regardless of the angle of heel, with a Questus mount, a radar antenna will pick up targets to either side of a vessel, rather than aiming to the sky and water (for planes and fish). The Questus Marine Self-Leveling Radar Mount can be installed in three basic configurations: backstay mount, mast mount or Stern Pole mount.
