Scheduled for Winter 2022-2023, Canadian Yachting Media is pleased to announce the upcoming release of the PORTS Cruising Guides Lake Ontario & the Thousand Islands 2023 Guide. CY Media added the PORTS Cruising Guides to their library of boating publications in 2019 and have since re-released 3 of the 4 regions published. Lake Ontario & the Thousand Islands is the fourth and final edition to be re-released under CY Media. The last Lake Ontario Guide was released in 2016.
PORTS Lake Ontario & the Thousand Islands Guide covers all of Lake Ontario including the US and Canada focusing on marinas and facilities, islands and anchorages, repair services, shopping, activities and includes GPS coordinates. With over 280 full-colour labelled aerials, to be completely updated, this guide is a must-have for trip planning and onboard.

Caroline Bowker is our Creative Director at PORTS.
With 30 years experience in graphic design, she specializes in editorial layouts, advertising, branding, logo design and trade exhibits.
Clients include: Toronto Boat Show, NMMA Canada and Boating Ontario a to name but a few.
Having previously worked on PORTS from 2005 - 2008, Caroline re-styled PORTS Georgian Bay in 2019 and subsequent issues of PORTS.

The 10th edition of the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge (MEBC) has wrapped up at the Yacht Club de Monaco (YCM) and it gives a compelling look at the future of electric boating.
The MEBC was started in 2014 as a competition between university teams who built and raced boats powered only by solar power and batteries. To encourage more participation from institutions that may not have naval architecture or boat construction expertise, the YCM introduced the Energy Class competition. The club supplies the student teams with the same one-design catamaran hull, and each team adds their own cockpit and propulsion system that can be powered by any renewable alternative energy sources, not just solar.
