More than a membership: How Boating Ontario Association Members Benefit from Boating Ontario Association’s Support and Advocacy

Boating Ontario Conference

July 31, 2023

The Boating Ontario Association is the voice of over 520 member businesses whose very businesses focus on the recreational boating industry in Ontario.

For over 50 years, Boating Ontario has endeavoured to foster connectedness across the industry, as well as the knowledge that by being a member, they have a strong collective voice. Our diverse membership pulls together industry sectors such as: marinas and clubs, sales, service and accessories, financial services, marina and boat insurance, currency exchange and many more.

We communicate frequently via bi-weekly eblasts, delivering news items, educational opportunities, government advocacy and other items of interest. Boating Ontario members have access to member discounts, our Clean Marine Environmental Best Practices Program, a job board, and unlimited access to the Member Resources section of our website which contains digitized forms for business development, marketing assets, training information and partnership programs.

As well as serving the needs of its members, Boating Ontario is involved in important issues and is very active advocating on behalf of our members and the millions of recreational boaters in Ontario in areas such as boating safety, environmental best practices, luxury tax, licensing and fees and much more.

Boating Ontario hosts multiple networking opportunities throughout the year where members can meet each other to brainstorm on challenges, discuss the industry, explore opportunities and have fun at social get-togethers.

Boating OntarioRegional meetings are held each Spring and are jam packed full of information and education and a great networking opportunity ahead of the start of boating season. Our annual golf tournament is always a sold out event, and our annual conference is a multiday event which presents the very popular BOATS Trade Show, a prime opportunity to network with your peers, top keynote speakers, loads of education relevant to the boating industry, Annual Meeting, brainstorming and interactive sessions, and an awards gala reception and dinner. The Boating Ontario conference is a highly anticipated event drawing many testimonials such as:

“The Boating Ontario Conference, continues to be not only the best marine conference opportunity in Ontario, but absolutely the best conference in the Country. You will not have a better opportunity to network with some of the best minds in the marine business, while at the same time hearing from amazing Keynote educational sessions. “
