Aquila 47 Molokai

Oct 17, 2023

Aquila Power Catamarans is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated launch of the Aquila 47 Molokai Power Catamaran, setting a new standard for luxury and performance in the world of boating. This stunning vessel combines innovative design, cutting-edge technology, and exceptional craftsmanship to deliver an unparalleled fishing experience.

Jean Raas, Product Development Director of Aquila, comments, “The new flagship Aquila 47 Molokai takes our “Offshore” series of center console power catamarans to a new level. Through extensive market research within the sport fishing industry, working with the Peart Yacht Design team along with fishing experts, taking in customer feedback and working with our partners like MarineMax, we were able to bring to life a design that not only offers exceptional fishability and offshore performance but luxury accommodations for family and friends as well. Performance and structural strength of the boat were at the forefront of the design, which included extensive CFD testing of multiple hull variations to ensure maximum reduced drag and range with twin stepped hulls, main forward and aft bulkheads done in carbon/epoxy along with carbon/epoxy hard top for reduced weights and overall stronger structure.”

The Aquila 47 Molokai is the first catamaran of its kind. This vessel combines real offshore fishing chops with a head and shower but also a spacious, air-conditioned stateroom with a queen-sized island berth. Two entry doors provide easy access, while large overhead and side windows flood the cabin with natural light during the day and let you stargaze from your bed at night.

Powered by twin 600 hp or quad 400 hp Mercury Verado outboards, the Aquila 47 Molokai delivers thrilling performance and a smooth, predictable ride, thanks to her aggressive twin-step hull design and strong, lightweight vacuum-infused construction with Gemlux hardware and outriggers and Hooker seachest system with variable speed pumps. Joystick piloting makes close-quarters maneuvering a breeze, while a 1,048-gallon (3,967-liter) fuel capacity brings any horizon within reach.

Underway, seven protected helm seats made from UltraLeather fabrics, with an optional upgrade to Release Marine teak ladder-back seats, and two air-conditioned rows powered by lithium-ion batteries keep your crew safe and comfortable. State-of-the-art Raymarine electronics, C-Zone digital switching, and a custom-tuned Fusion audio system put information and entertainment at your fingertips.

Alain Raas, Aquila Brand Manager, comments, “First and foremost, the all-new Aquila 47 Molokai is a fishing machine with nothing spared in providing professional and recreational fisherman the setup they desire for fishability, range and efficiency – all primary attributes that Aquila focused on while designing this vessel. We made sure to stay true to the fishability of this boat but remembering to combine the luxury touches and accommodations that are sure to please you and your friends and family. The combination of fishability and luxury resulted in a boat that is multi-faceted for both those exciting days, landing your catch to taking it easy with your loved ones – no need to settle for one versus the other when the Aquila 47 Molokai can give you all that and more! “

Whatever adventure awaits you, be sure to check out the Aquila 47 Molokai and see why Aquila is the #1 power catamaran manufacturer in the world.
