YANMAR ANNOUNCES INNOVATIVE X47 HIGH-PERFORMANCE EXPRESS CRUISER

Yanmar X47 Express Cruiser

July 16, 2019

Yanmar Co., Ltd. has announced the creation of its latest brand flagship, the X47 Express Cruiser. Scheduled to make its global debut towards the end of 2019, the innovative 47-foot express cruiser is slated to be the Official VIP Cruiser the 36th America’s Cup presented by Prada, the oldest trophy in international sport and the pinnacle of yachting. It will serve as such through the whole competition including the world series and the final match in Auckland NZ, March 2021.

Official Marine Partner for the 36th America’s Cup presented by Prada, Yanmar will contribute world-leading marine engineering and diesel engines of superior power and reliability for the high-performance motor yacht designed by the world-famous designer Ken Okuyama. The all-new Yanmar X47 Express Cruiser, the new icon of Yanmar brand, is a unique concept for a recreational marine vessel, as it combines powerful speed with a spacious interior.

“With its sleek hull and strikingly bold character lines, the X47 has the look of a powerboat, but inside you will discover that there is a lot of space—a very usable interior layout and plenty of volume—like that of a well-designed cabin cruiser. We believe that we can deliver a true VIP cruising experience to the world’s greatest sailing event,” said Yanmar Holdings director, Ken Okuyama.

With excitement building towards its launch at the end of 2019, the supremely appointed X47 is poised to take the Yanmar brand to new heights through collaborations with the America’s Cup.
