Apr 9, 2024

KingFisher Boats, a North American leader in heavy-gauge aluminum boats, is proud to announce the promotions of Baxter Bolton to President at KingFisher Boats, and Brad Armstrong to Chief Financial Officer at Bryton Marine Group – KingFisher’s parent company.

Baxter Bolton brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leadership to his new role. With a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary and a diverse professional background, including notable achievements such as being named Top Rookie Producer and Rookie of the Year during his tenure at Student Works Painting Franchise, Baxter has consistently demonstrated his ability to excel in various roles and industries.

Prior to his promotion, Baxter served as the Vice President of Sales and Product at KingFisher Boats, where he played a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth and maintaining its position as the premium aluminum boat builder in the Pacific Northwest. His extensive experience, including his time at Telwater, the largest aluminum boat builder in the Southern Hemisphere, uniquely positions him to lead KingFisher into its next phase of expansion and innovation.

In his new role as President, Baxter Bolton will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of KingFisher Boats, with a focus on protecting the brand’s leadership position in the market and expanding into new territories. Additionally, Baxter will spearhead efforts to help the team identify and take advantage of new trends and opportunities in the market/industry, ensuring that KingFisher remains at the forefront of innovation and adaptation. Baxter’s vision for the company is aligned with KingFisher’s long-term goals, which include enriching lives through time spent on the water, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and being recognized as the best place to work in the community.

Baxter Bolton expressed excitement in his new role, “I am very proud to step into this new role and I am excited to lead my family’s business to a new chapter of success!”

Brad Armstrong, a Chartered Professional Accountant with over 30 years of financial management experience, has played a crucial role in KingFisher Boats’ success as the former President. Now, Brad will be stepping into the role of Chief Financial Officer at Bryton Marine Group, KingFisher’s parent company. With his strong financial skillset and a track record of assisting in the acquisition of four companies, Brad will provide financial oversight of the companies within the group, manage the group’s banking and treasury functions, and support the group’s continued growth.

Brad Armstrong expressed confidence in Baxter’s ability to lead the company forward: “Baxter is well suited to take on his new role. He has shown strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset, and he has built strong relationships with the team. I have no doubt that under his leadership, KingFisher will continue to thrive and innovate.”

These promotions mark an exciting new chapter for both KingFisher Boats and Bryton Marine Group. With Baxter Bolton leading KingFisher Boats as President and Brad Armstrong assuming the role of CFO at Bryton Marine Group, the organizations are set for continued growth, innovation, and excellence.
