RAYMARINE’S CLEARCRUISE AUGMENTED REALITY (AR) SYSTEM WINS BEST ELECTRONICS AT THE 2019 VANCOUVER INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW

Raymarine’s ClearCruise Augmented Reality (AR) system was chosen as the best marine electronics product in Pacific Yachting’s annual Best In Show awards at the 2019 Vancouver International Boat Show. This AR system combines a forward-facing camera with a stabilizing unit to create a heads-up view that matches what the helmsman sees ahead.

The ClearCruise AR system overlays AIS, chart features, and waypoints onto the live video image displayed on any Raymarine Axiom MFD. This AR overlay makes interpreting a chart simple and intuitive. Future software updates will add these features to FLIR night vision imaging and a rhumbline to show the vessel’s projected course. Roy Shipley was presented with the award.
