Royal Canadian Yacht Club announces new Director of Fleet and Sailing and new Director of Sailing

The Royal Canadian Yacht Club announces  the appointment of two new directors to the senior team – Colin Clark as Director of Fleet and Thomas Fogh as Director of Sailing.
 
As part of efforts to continuously improve club programs, services and facilities, the Royal Canadian Yacht Club (RCYC) took a fresh approach to the recruitment of the senior leadership in Sailing. The club is very excited about the collaborative vision Thomas and Colin bring to the Club and Sailing Office. As Director of Sailing, Thomas will focus on programming and racing activities. Colin, as Director of Fleet, will focus on cruising programs and club assets and the club is confident their combined resources will bring exciting new developments to Sailing at RCYC. – Cory Anderson

DIRECTOR OF FLEET – COLIN CLARK

Colin is a World Champion and highly experienced professional in the marine and boating industry.  Colin brings significant experience and a broad perspective related to recreational sailing in Canada.  Professionally, Colin played an instrumental role in building Canada’s recreational boating industry from the ground up. With a life-long passion for boating, Colin brings to the RCYC leadership and experience in marketing, communications, and resource management.

I look forward to playing a meaningful role in promoting, organizing, and participating in the development of all classes and events. I sincerely believe my perspective and experience will be key to raising the sailing profile, while improving engagement and expanding membership & growth of the Club.”

Thomas FoghDIRECTOR OF SAILING – THOMAS FOGH

Thomas has been an Olympic-level athlete, a high-performance coach, marine industry veteran & program administrator.  He brings over fifteen years business ownership and management to the RCYC. His extensive knowledge of high-performance sport and training programs will be an incredible asset. He has high degree of technical knowledge within the sport of sailing and has strong global sailing connections and networks within the industry. 
“I am excited to explore new approaches to the strategic direction of Sailing at RCYC so we can provide athletes with the resources to compete locally or globally, in addition to supporting the membership at every level. I look forward to working with the team to maximize the efficiency of operations, solidify relationships with our supporters and work to achieve measurable outcomes.”
