The industry mourns the passing of David (Dave) Andrew Rozycki

July 30, 2024

Dave died suddenly while hiking at Killarney Provincial Park on Thursday July 25, 2024 at the age of 64. Dave was the beloved husband of Regina (nee Zuwa), loving father of Andrew (Amanda), Jennifer (Stephen Feeney), Matthew and Wendy (Aaron Vindua), cherished Papa of Caden, Conor, Lucy, Bryn, Lily and Finn, and dear brother of Bruce (Melanie), Anne (Rick Goverde) and Carl (Karen-Ann) and brother-in-law of Terry Zuwa and the late Lisa (Sandro Osti). Dave will also be missed by his numerous nieces and nephews, his many friends and business colleagues.

Dave was a kind man who believed strongly in his community and his faith. He was a talented vocalist, singing Barbershop and soloing at many events and occasions. He was an accomplished sailor, avid golfer, and enjoyed hockey, mountain biking, hiking and making maple syrup from his sugar bush.

Dave was a pioneer in real estate and land development, who along with partners, established Parkbridge and grew the company to become the largest of its kind in Canada, forever altering Wasaga Beach and many other communities across the country. In his latest endeavor, he continued the success with Maple Leaf Marinas, growing it into a thriving business while providing him the opportunity to marry many of his favorite pastimes. Above all, he cherished his family and the moments they shared at the farm and the cottage. He will be deeply missed.

Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on Tuesday July 30, 2024 from 2 to 4 pm and from 6 to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Noel Chabanel Catholic Church, 133 Dunkerron Avenue, Wasaga Beach on Wednesday July 31, 2024 at 11 o’clock. Interment to follow at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery. Reception to follow.
