Thom Lackie – Eight Bells

Thom Lackie

June 19, 2023

Passed away peacefully in Penetanguishene on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at the age of 81 years, to the sounds of waves crashing and birds chirping. Loving father of Leandra Harris (James) and Drew Lackie (Natasha). Cherished grandfather of Santana, Marcus, Avery, and Grayson. Loving brother of Mary Lou Morris, and Uncle to Scott (Stella), Brenda (Barb), Shari (Mark), Shelley (Dave) and Jamie (Colleen). He will be lovingly remembered for his compassion, zeal for helping those in need, his larger-than-life personality, occasional feistiness, curiosity, sense of humour, loud bellowing laugh, and of course, his love for Georgian Bay (and all the boats and planes that made navigating the ‘Bay that much more fun). Thom was also a lifelong and passionate Hash House Harrier, a friend and running group that gave him so much joy and companionship over the years. Following Thom’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held. Memorial donations to the Midland OSPCA or The Guesthouse Shelter in Midland would be appreciated by the family.
