Feb 19, 2019

Onboard hot water used to be the exclusive purview of large vessels with inboard engines. With Albin Pump Marine’s new 5.8-gallon Premium Electric Square Water Heater, owners of smaller boats can enjoy the same luxury. Ideal for galleys, showers and transom wash-downs, it debuts at the Miami International Boat Show.

Albin’s Premium Electric Square Water Heater features a toxic-free interior ceramic coating to ensure years of freshness. It heats 5.8 gallons in 45 minutes and keeps it hot for over 10 hours when disconnected from shore power. Combined with cold, it provides 8 gallons of mixed warm water—enough for a three-minute shower.

Available in 120V AC or 230V AC, Albin’s Premium Electric Square Water Heater will run off a genset or shore power. Simple to plumb, it has fixed port 1/2″ NPT connections, and with a type AC plug, there’s no wiring. At 19.25″ L x 12.5″ W x 12.5″ H with all fittings and the element, it fits into the tightest of spots. CE marked, it comes with a three-year warranty and costs $750 USD in America.
