BOSTON WHALER INTRODUCES THE 240 DAUNTLESS PRO

EDGEWATER, Fla. (Apr. 21, 2017) — There’s a new champion on the scene: The Boston Whaler 240 Dauntless Pro, a boat designed to maximize fishing success—inshore, offshore and anywhere in between. Unrivaled Boston Whaler hull construction combines with innovative, purpose-driven design to satisfy the needs of serious anglers, without sacrificing comfort or style.

“The 240 Dauntless Pro is designed for the serious angler, with features and options that serve the technical bay boat market,” said Jeff Vaughn, Boston Whaler’s vice president of sales, marketing and customer service. “It’s a tremendous fishing platform with all the strengths quintessential to a Whaler: superior ride quality, ease of operation, durability and comfort.”

A standout feature of the 240 Dauntless Pro is the new Pro Angler’s Tower. This raised vantage point provides uninterrupted, long-distance visibility when searching for bait fish. It’s easily accessible through a dedicated portside access ladder—meaning unlike with some competitors’ models, there’s no need to step precariously on the console to reach the tower. The tower’s intuitive helm station features a cushioned leaning post and state-of-the-art Raymarine® electronics, just like the cockpit helm station, for confident command in any position.

When the action heats up, the Dauntless features a single-level stern casting deck with a convenient center livewell and storage. The cockpit’s cushioned, function-forward leaning post with flip-up bolsters provides ergonomic support for the captain while driving, then serves as a go-to spot for fighting fish. Four rod holders on the leaning post keep rods at hand, and dedicated cooler space below keeps the pathway clear. Additional options include a power pole, trolling motor and jack plate.

As well-equipped as it is for serious fishing, the 240 Dauntless Pro sacrifices nothing in terms of comfort or enjoyment. The crew can kick back and relax in the spacious bow area, where plush seats with flip-up backrests, a removable bow cushion and an optional sunshade make this a great place to socialize. Aft plug-in seating drops into the transom to provide additional versatility, and a standard head in the console increases comfort during long days. On the hardtop, a glass windshield and optional side curtains lend extra protection against the elements.

Performance is another area in which the Dauntless Pro truly shines: Boston Whaler’s impeccable V-hull design works in tandem with the cutting-edge Mercury® Verado® engine—up to 350-hp—to deliver strong, efficient power; incredibly smooth, predictable handling; and a soft, safe, dry ride.

“The 240 Dauntless Pro is the total package,” said Vaughn. “We’re thrilled to provide anglers with an exciting new platform to help empower fishing success.”
