DANIAMANT LAUNCHES ODEO STROBE

Daniamant Odeo Strobe

June 11, 2019

Danish marine safety equipment manufacturer, Daniamant, announces the launch of the ODEO Strobe, a high power white LED flashing light designed for use in emergency situations as a collision warning signal or to pinpoint the position of a vessel or individual in distress.

The ODEO Strobe is the newest edition to the popular ODEO family and builds on the proven design of the ODEO Distress. Featuring a high powered white strobe light, the ODEO Strobe has a 50cd luminosity intensity and can be detected from a minimum of three nautical miles away.

Kevin Rough, CEO at Daniamant, says, “We are excited to be bringing the new ODEO Strobe to the global commercial and leisure market. The strobe lasts for up to two days, making it an ideal piece of life saving equipment that can be attached to a personal flotation device or included in a grab bag. We work tirelessly to produce products that enhance safety, for boat and watersports enthusiasts all over the globe, ensuring our products are of the highest quality and comply with the legislation and international directives.”

The ODEO Strobe’s water tightness has been tested to IP68 and it is currently in type approval for SOLAS, MED and USCG standards. It has also been tested for submersion up to 50m for potential diving applications and includes an infra-red signal when operational. Designed to withstand all weather conditions, the ODEO Strobe can be stored in temperatures as low as -30 °C and as high as 60 °C for 5 years. It has user replaceable batteries, which should be changed each year to ensure best performance. The ODEO Strobe operates with either alkaline or lithium varieties, however for best performance lithium batteries are recommended as they deliver 48 hours of full illumination, although alkaline batteries will still last for an impressive 30 hours.

The ODEO Strobe has passed its type approval testing and is now awaiting type approval certificates for MED and SOLAS with USCG to follow. It will be rolling off the production line and available for purchase in June. For more information about Danimant and its products, please visit: www.daniamant.com
