MERCURY MARINE WINS INNOVATION PRIZE OF PROPULSION SYSTEM AWARD IN CHINA

Mercury Fourstroke

Mercury Marine was recently honoured with the annual Innovation Prize of Propulsion System award at the China (Zhoushan Archipelago) International Boat Show for its 350hp Verado outboard engine.  The judges, who were comprised of show organizers and members of the industry media, noted that the engine won the award because of its powerful performance, outstanding stability at high speed, as well as compact & intelligent design for unmatched driving experience.

The award is the second major award for Mercury Marine in Asia in 2015.  Mercury won its second consecutive “Most Eco-Friendly Marine Business Award” during the 2015 China (Shanghai) International Boat Show for its 75-115hp FourStroke Outboard Engine platform.

“Winning the Innovation Prize of Propulsion System award in Asia is a great honor for Mercury Marine,” said Randy Caruana, Mercury Marine vice president – North & Central America and Asia Pacific.  “The Asia Pacific market quickly adopted the Verado family of engines and use it in recreational, commercial and especially government marine applications.  The customer feedback regarding the 350 Verado in the government program in Asia has been very positive.”

The Zhoushan Archipelago Boat Show has been held since 2011 with the support of local government and the marine industry association.  Zhoushan Archipelago has been positioned as a national sea-fishing base.
