Mercury Marine will be presented the Game & Fish/Sportsman Magazine’s Readers’ Choice Award for “Favourite Outboard” during the 2016 ICAST show in Orlando, Fla. The award will be given to Mercury for its 115 Pro XS FourStroke outboard.

“We congratulate Mercury Marine for winning the Outboard Category of our Readers’ Choice Awards,” said Game & Fish Magazine Publisher Peter Gross. “The 115 FourStroke really ran away with this category. More than 250 voters took the time to write and tell us what they liked about the 115. They often mentioned three things: this motor is quiet, sips gas and is powerful.”

“We are honoured to win the Readers’ Choice Award for our 115 Pro XS FourStroke outboard and want to thank Game & Fish/Sportsman Magazine,” said Michelle Dauchy, Mercury Marine chief marketing officer. “This engine has been very well received in the marketplace since its launch at the beginning of 2016.  Anglers demand speed and performance from their outboard and we have heard from customers around the world about the engine’s performance and how quiet it is. Those attributes are ideal when you are coming up on a fishing hole or need that extra power to get you to the grounds faster.

Mercury’s Pro XS is the best-selling tournament fishing outboard in the world, and has powered more competitive anglers to victory than any other engine.

Game & Fish/Sportsman conducts two Readers’ Choice Award votes each year. Results from the fishing survey are published in March while hunting results are published in July. A total of more than 3,000 readers voted for their favourite new fishing and boating gear.
