NAUTI-TECH LAUNCHES SATELLITE INTERNET SERVICE

Nautitech Internet Service

Apr 16, 2019

FMC GlobalSat 4G/LTSAT™ is the fastest and most reliable marine wireless and satellite Internet service available. Available through its US-based distributor, Nauti-Tech, the next-generation cellular/VSAT bundles feature the new Kymeta MTenna™ flat panel antenna. With global satellite access using Ku band, it boasts un-throttled LTE/VSAT connectivity at 150Mbps on 4G/LTE and 5Mbps bandwidth on HTS satellite.

Nauti-Tech offers a wide range of monthly plans ranging from 10GB–400GB. The 4G/LTSAT service includes all software, hardware and network access in a single usage-based subscription model that’s simple to use and cost-effective for many applications. It provides seamless wireless roaming in port without the need to manually change SIM cards or register with a different carrier. If the vessel is used seasonally, the service is easily paused.

The 4G/LTSAT system is controlled through a personalized web management interface. The user can view plan details and data usage. SMS messages can be sent to alert when preselected caps are nearing.

The Nauti-Tech solution uses the revolutionary Kymeta MTenna antenna. Unlike traditional satellite antennas with massive radomes, it’s a flat panel that’s easily integrated into a superstructure. Without any moving parts, it significantly reduces effort and the complexity of maintaining satellite links which enable Internet connection via geostationary or MEO/LEO satellites.

In the United States, prices for Nauti-Tech FMC GlobalSat 4G/LTSAT coverage start at $1,543/month USD with required accessories and one-time of $5,380 USD.
