PacBak partners with Fillet Away Fish Mats

PacBak

Jan 28, 2025

PacBak, a manufacturer of award-winning coolers, rechargeable vacuum sealers and related outdoor equipment, has partnered with Fillet Away Fish Mats on a cross-marketing effort. Brian McKinnon, PacBak founder and chief innovation officer, made the announcement.

With every purchase of a cooler/sealer or backpack/sealer combo, PacBak will add a 14″ x 19″ Fillet Away Fish Mat and 7″ Fillet Knife. Made in the USA and 100% recyclable, the mat provides a portable filleting surface that won’t absorb odors and is easy to clean. To sweeten the deal PacBak will throw in a HandyBonk, the innovative fish bonker.

“Like PacBak, Fillet Away Fish Mat is a small company that originated from a love of fishing and a desire to solve a common problem: how to safely keep a fish from sliding when holding a razor-sharp filet knife,” said McKinnon. “Their mat is the ideal companion to our outdoor gear, stowing perfectly in our coolers and Byway Backpack.

Fillet Away Fish Mats was founded in 2015 on the banks of the Columbia River. It has a burgeoning distribution network throughout the US and Canada. Its website is www.filletaway.com.
