Qwik-Fill makes battery maintenance fast and easy

Qwik Fill

May 4, 2021

Flooded marine 12V deep cycle batteries need regular topping-off with distilled water to ensure peak performance. The Qwik-Fill Onboard Battery Watering System from Flow-Rite is the fast and easy way to perform this important task. It allows boat owners to maintain optimal electrolyte levels from a single, more convenient onboard location.

The cornerstone of the Qwik-Fill Onboard Battery Watering System is its manifolds. Two are installed onto each battery in place of its fill caps and linked via the manifold jumper tube. If a bank of batteries is used, multiple manifolds up to 8′ apart are easily connected with clear tubing.

When it’s time to add water, the red cap is removed from one of the Qwik-Fill manifolds and a feeder tube is connected. Flow-Rite offers a convenient Squeeze Bulb Filler Assembly that drops into a standard one-gallon bottle of distilled water. The other end connects to the quick coupler male end. When the bulb becomes hard, the batteries are completely flooded. Excess water can then be pumped back into the bottle.

The Qwik-Fill Onboard Battery Watering System fits group size 24 through 27 and most 29 through 31 batteries. In the USA, the basic kit for one battery costs $34.99 USD.

The association is very well supported and virtually any significant marine electronics company that you could name, was represented there on the Exhibitor list at the Expo as well as all being NMEA members and very supportive of the organization.
