Save the spring headaches, lube zips & snaps now

Nov 7, 2023

Winterizing a boat can be a chore, but a simple task done now will save a lot of headaches next spring: lubricate zippers and snaps with Snap Stick from Shurhold. Fast and easy to apply, it keeps plastic and metal fasteners and hinges working smoothly—even those attached to fabric that shrank while the boat was in storage.

Made in the USA, Snap Stick is perfect to use on hardware that’s exposed to rain, salt, dirt, rust and other contaminants. Non-toxic and biodegradable, the high-performance formula provides a long-lasting lubricating film without harming adjacent fabrics or solid surfaces.

Commonly used on boat covers, dodgers, enclosures, sail covers and cushion snaps, it’s also ideal for soft coolers, PFDs and wetsuits, drybags and other technical outdoor gear. Inside the boat, Snap Stick is great for drawer slides, hinges and other moving parts.

Snap Stick comes in a convenient 0.45 oz. twist-up tube. Simple to use, the solid wax-like formula is run along both sides of a zipper or on the male side of a snap. Then, the fastener is opened and closed several times. A video is at www.bit.ly/Snap-Stick. www.shurhold.com.
