New compact courtesy light is also waterproof

Shadow-Caster CLX RGBW LED

Jan 2, 2024

High-quality marine lighting is essential for safety anywhere aboard. Dark steps and corners, dim compartments and work areas all present potential hazards. The new CLX RGBW LED Courtesy Light from Shadow-Caster is waterproof to increase visibility above deck and compact for accenting below, without the bulk of standard flush mount fixtures.

The front-facing 12V DC CLX Courtesy Light produces 80 lumens of true white light, as well as full RGB color. It draws only 80mA per channel, with a 320mA maximum current. The unique design provides bright, even illumination without glare.

At only 3″ L x 1″ W x 0.32″ H, the CLX Courtesy Light offers both an extremely low profile and small footprint. The unique UV-stabilized polycarbonate housing and rugged 316 stainless steel polished bezel boast soft rounded edges. The fixture has a 5-conductor RGBW wire and mounts with two included #6 stainless steel screws.

Light intensity and color are easily changed through a controller. Shadow-Caster’s award-winning Light Commander PLUS gives users fingertip control over CLX Courtesy Lights. Through networked NMEA 2000 multifunction displays or Ethernet devices, additional interior, exterior and navigation lighting can also be controlled. www.shadow-caster.com.
